It’s been four years since I am using GMail, and still I love it as a brand new toy. No doubt, the service from Google means GMail scores amazingly on search. Even they say “Search, don’t sort” but searching and filter based sorting is what makes it competition killer. Even power users are not fully aware of all the search operators. What Are You Worth On The Black Market?
Ever wondered how much your online identity is worth to a cyber criminal? A new tool from Symantec Corp. will perform the calculation for you. It takes a few minutes to answer the questions, after which you get three results: how much your online assets are worth, how much your online identity would sell for on the black market, and your risk of becoming a [...]

Protect removable drives from virus/malware
You don’t need a lot of time or knowledge to execute the few changes that Trend Micro suggests protecting your drive against the Autorun feature. To be able to do this, you must first format the drive using NTFS (if you haven’t already), because only this type of formatting allows you to execute the wanted procedure. Create inside the root directory of the drive a file or folder named Autorun.inf. As worms are known to bypass this simple solution by replacing the legitimate file with the malicious one, use file permissions and restrict possible changes.

What Is OpenID
OpenID allows you to use an existing identity to sign in to multiple websites, without needing to create new passwords. With OpenID, your password is only given to your identity provider, and that provider then confirms your identity to the websites you visit. Other than your provider, no website ever sees your password, so you don’t need to worry about an unscrupulous or insecure website compromising your identity.

Microsoft Anti-Cross Site Scripting Library
The Microsoft Anti-Cross Site Scripting Library (Anti-XSS) is an encoding library designed to help developers protect their ASP.NET web-based applications from XSS attacks. This encoding libraries uses the white-listing technique – sometimes referred to as the principle of inclusions – to provide protection against XSS attacks. This approach works by first defining a valid or allowable set of characters, and encodes anything outside this set.The white-listing approach provides several advantages over other encoding schemes.
