What is Phishing The act of sending an e-mail to a user falsely claiming to be an established legitimate enterprise in an attempt to scam the user into surrendering private information that will be used for identity theft. The e-mail directs the user to visit a Website where they are asked to update personal information, such as passwords and credit card, social security and bank account numbers, that the legitimate organization already has. Job Scam

A job racket where 37 unemployed youth paid Rs 1.8 lakh each to a HR consultancy firm after being tricked into believing that they had got lucrative jobs at an IT firm, Wipro Ltd, has been busted following the arrest of four persons. The accused were identified as Rajiv Ranjan (30) from Bihar, Mohammed Azar (25) native of Andhra Pradesh, Sathya Priya (25) a resident of Tamil Nadu and M N Naryanana (29) hailing from Kerala, according to Bangalore Police Commissioner B G Jyothiprakash Mirji.

Phishing Email

Today morning when I checked my Gmail account, there was one email from Microsoft that I won jackpot of  £1,000 000 . This is one of phishing email sent by some fake person. Daily thousands of people receiving such fake emails by spammers. People new to internet must be aware of such fake emails and should not share any personal information or bank details for such prices money. These are fake emails sent by spammers to steal your personal data or bank account details. Beaware of such phishing email and don’t share any information.

How to Avoid Phishing Scams

I know this post is too lengthy but it’s very useful in day today Internet surfing. Rather than getting fooled by some phishing activity better to know what is phishing. This kind of crime can happen with anyone.
